| We are a somewhat serious and cool community called "The Blitzkampf" Before, you check out the forums, a few things I would like to clear up. First, our purpose for being on the internet(note, this is from our "about us" page - Please note, this is pretty large:
About The Blitzkampf The Blitzkampf was created to assist the popularity of the little-known PC fighting game,Akatsuki Blitzkampf. Akatsuki Blitzkampf is somewhat popular in Japan, but here in the US and other countries, Akatsuki Blitzkampf is almost unknown. With only a small fanbase in the US, Akatsuki Blitzkampf is relatively unknown to many people. We strive to get more people to know about Akatsuki Blitzkampf.
Akatsuki Blitzkampf is a Japanese-only fighting game for the PC, that has a lot of great factors about it, from the semi-retro gameplay to even the dystopian,war-torn atmosphere. Akatsuki Blitzkampf had features of some fighting games, from a few unlockable characters to unlockable modes of play, including a even harder version of the game\s single-player mode, and even a mode of play that is similar to a board game.
However, this is also a BlazBlue fansite, too and even though BlazBlue already has some popularity, it has a lot of depth into it. With theories that rise up about certain relationships with characters or even theories about the Murakumo units and the NOL and Sector Seven, BlazBlue is a game that has also gotten high reviews from various video game websites and outlets.
We are also probably the only website that knows about the horror-based fighting game(which we are developing), Das Albtraum(originally "Das Nachtstute").
We also offer a section for MUGEN fans and creators to release their creations and show off videos of their battles and just discuss MUGEN.
MUGEN is a freeware fighting game engine that was created by the little-known company called "Elecbyte" is 1999 with Allegro and C++. MUGEN allows you to create your own fighting game and the possibilites are almost endless!
You can create your own characters, stages and such for use in MUGEN(if you use Fighter Factory) MUGEN was originally designed for the Microsoft Disk Operating System(or MS-DOS), but Elecbyte also made a version for Linux. However, at some point Elecbyte disappeared off of the face of the Earth and there was no hope for a version for Microsoft Windows...
However, then at some point in 2003, someone found a beta version for Windows, but unfortunately this beta version had a nag screen, two character roster limit and unplayable game modes.
Then, 2004, some Japanese hacker hacked into the engine and removed most of these limitations. This version is commonly known as "WinMUGEN". Sometime in 2007, someone made a version to support high resolution stages(like those seen in Guilty Gear around that time), but in return lost support for low-resolution stages. Later in the December of 2007, a MUGEN creator known as "Kung Fu Man"(not the character), hacked into what is known as "High Resolution Windows MUGEN" (or Hi-Res MUGEN) and added support for low-resolution stages, with a 640 x 480 high-resolution select screen.
Sometime in the September of 2009, Elecbyte made a unexpected comeback and revealed a new version of MUGEN for Windows called "MUGEN 1.0." MUGEN 1.0. or HD MUGEN has allowed for further options for coding in characters, along with even support for high definition. And anyways, I guess this ends our "about us" page, hope I gave a decent explaination of the forum and it's purpose..
and second, I know the site loads slow and I've tried my best to fix the problem and this is as far as I am going. Anyways.. We have two areas for discussing BlazBlue and Akatsuki Blitzkampf and we also feature areas for discussing MUGEN and other games, we also have a area for showing the development on our game(Sorry, but it's members-only and you will have to register to see it ) and if you are too "gamed out" or are a "casual gamer", we have areas for general discussion, debates, popular culture and multimedia and basically "forum" or "posting" games. However, our current staff members are inactive and rarely ever visit the forum, so we also have staff positions available(just PM me after you register). http://theblitzkampf.webhostingfox.com
