The topic title gives a good enough explaination, should all forum be age-restricted?
My age limit for joining is 13, although I prefer 15-years old and up, mostly because of inappropriate content,excessive language(not a lot of posts you will usually see on my forum without strong language),frequent displays of sexual innuendo(Usage of the meme, "DAT ASS",etc.) and some other stuff.

i dont like the idea of age restrictions but i see the point of them

Well, it's a good idea, if you allow pictures with mild nudity,are a adult community or if you are trying to aim towards a certain age group.
